This is a rare opportunity to step into one of the most strategically important roles in Australia and New Zealand's fast-growing tourism and property sector. Reporting directly to the CEO and working in close alignment with the Board and shareholders, you will have a direct hand in steering the company's growth trajectory.
As Head of Acquisitions, you'll lead the identification, negotiation, and execution of high-value acquisitions of operating tourism assets – not just development sites, but fully trading businesses that deliver immediate income and long-term value. Typical deal sizes range from $20m to $70m, with approximately $200m of capital deployed annually across a diversified portfolio. Every transaction you originate and close will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a market leader in one of the most dynamic and consolidating sectors in Australia and New Zealand.
The Opportunity
As Head of Acquisitions, you will:
* Originate, evaluate, and negotiate large-scale acquisitions of operating holiday parks and resorts across Australia and New Zealand.
* Lead deals typically ranging from $20m–$70m in value, deploying approximately $200m of capital per annum.
* Drive the end-to-end transaction process – financial modelling, due diligence, capital structuring, IC papers, and execution.
* Shape portfolio strategy through a rolling 5-year business plan, balancing short-term deal flow with long-term value creation.
* Manage relationships with banks, investors, family offices, brokers, and advisors to source opportunities and secure funding.
* Partner with internal teams across Development, Operations, and Marketing to ensure acquisitions integrate smoothly and maximise value creation.
* Present investment cases to the CEO, Board, and shareholders with clarity and conviction.
* Be supported by a dedicated Manager and Analyst to ensure seamless deal execution.
About You
We're looking for a proven dealmaker with:
* 10+ years' experience in property acquisitions, corporate finance, private equity, investment banking, or related fields.
* A track record of originating and executing complex, high-value transactions.
* Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
* Strong networks across capital markets and professional services.
* The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while keeping a strategic, long-term focus.
* A collaborative leadership style, with the gravitas to influence senior stakeholders and mentor junior team members.
