Government Land Policy and Advice Leadership Role
The Director of Government Land Policy and Advice will lead a diverse branch in delivering strategic advice, complex projects, evidence-based policy development and reform, assessments, data management, and spatial analysis and mapping services related to land in Victoria.
This is a senior leadership position within the Department of Transport and Planning. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding an inclusive and high-performing workforce that is outcome-driven, client-focused, collaborative, and professional.
The Director will build high-trust relationships across government and consult with multiple groups of stakeholders, including the Land Coordinator General, Development Victoria, Homes Victoria, and various Victorian Government departments and agencies.
* Deliver key organisational outcomes through effective leadership and stakeholder engagement;
* Develop and implement policies and programs that promote improved use of government land to maximise community outcomes;
* Establish and maintain high-trust relationships across government and with external stakeholders.
Required qualifications and experience include:
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in land legislation and policy, land administration or comparable subject matter areas in the Victorian context;
* Leadership experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams to deliver key organisational outcomes;
* Experience in delivering complex programs impacting multiple areas of government;
* A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline would be highly regarded.
