The Role
This is a process-driven assessment role, not sales and not relationship management. You’ll be trained to review loan applications against clear rules and policies, while learning how to apply judgement and critical thinking when things aren’t black and white.
You’ll be fully trained and expected by the end of a 6-month probation period to be a competent loan assessor. You will be able to:
* Assess online loan applications against policy and compliance requirements
* Verify documentation and evaluate customer circumstances
* Apply responsible lending principles and make fair, defensible decisions
* Use judgement, initiative, and common sense within a structured framework
* Record accurate notes for compliance
* Respond to customer enquiries and complaints via phone and email when required
About You
You don’t need finance or lending experience - we’ll teach you that. What matters most is how you think and work.
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
* Are fluent in English
* Have strong attention to detail and enjoy structured, process-driven work
* Are an analytical and logical thinker who is able to make fair decisions
* Have sound basic mathematical ability with confidence using systems, data, and technology
* Take compliance seriously and value doing things properly
* Bring a positive, professional, team focused attitude
* Are flexible to work reasonable overtime or weekends when needed
* Can provide proof of your level of education and currently reside in Australia
