The Role:
We are looking for Laser Machine Operators with experience in all aspects of laser cutting to join our team based at Somersby on the NSW Central Coast.
Responsibilities include:
1. Experience in operating laser cutting machines and sheet metal
2. Able to maintain acceptable material cut quality
3. Understanding laser cut principles and able to change cutting conditions
4. Ability to check parts for quality and accuracy
5. Meeting quoted time estimates and recording details
6. Knowledge of cutting materials and steel types
7. Maintaining weekly cleaning of laser bed and scrap trays and required maintenance
8. Monitoring stock levels of consumables
9. Scheduling job orders to maintain efficiency & optimum use of time
10. Loading & unloading of machine when required to keep machine running
11. Keeping material racks and workplace clean and in order
To be considered for this position you will:
1. Have relevant trade experience
2. Forklift Licence would be preferred
3. Have experience working in a busy hands-on environment
4. Ability to work unsupervised and complete set tasks
5. Have excellent attention to detail, quality, accuracy and safety
