Rate & term - $ per hour including Super | contract to 30th June 2026
Location & work arrangements - Kingswood - 5 days per week onsite
Purpose:
Review and analyse the organisations' business intentions, services, processes and information needs to identify changes that lead to business improvements.
This role is focused on the establishment of detailed system documentation and processes and support of critical business application as part of an upgrade project.
Responsibilities:
1. Build and maintain key relationships with users, technical staff and stakeholders to identify and document business needs and ensure alignment with organisational strategies and objectives.
2. Leads, edits, writes and reviews high quality technical documentation, interpreting technical concepts and information into a form understood by various stakeholders.
3. Interviews and works collaboratively with subject matter experts to determine documentation requirements to clarify technical concepts.
4. Provides professional leadership and participates in working groups and meetings to drive the continuous improvement of quality documentation.
5. Develops and maintains the Division's controlled documentation standards and establishes clear document interfaces to ensure the accuracy of documents is maintained.
6. Provide high level analysis and support while facilitating expert advice to support IT projects, planning and delivery of initiatives.
7. Support projects by undertaking analysis and impact assessments including testing, training and business transitions.
8. Provide plain language advice on complex technical issues to non-technical audiences to enable informed business decisions and service level improvements.
Essential Requirements:
• Extensive experience with large and complex software upgrade and development projects.
• Strong Business Requirements Analysis, System Design, Test Planning & Management, and Technical Document Creation experience.
• Proven experience working with externally facing web applications, including supporting solution upgrades.
• Strong knowledge of Jira, Web based shopping carts, and Digital Asset Management Systems (DAMS) preferred, Oracle and SQL database platforms, Windows Server and Virtualised Environment Management, API integrations preferred.
• Ability to work on-site at MHNSW Western Sydney Records Centre and participate in and support after hours, and/or weekend project activities from time to time.
Reporting Line:
Reports directly to the Project Manager, with strong relations to system owners and ICT.

Among other tasks and deliverables this role will play a leading part in establishing the following:
1. Full as Built Documentation
2. Solutions Requirements and Design Specifications
3. Solution Roadmap
4. System Configuration Documentation
5. Detailed Test Plans and Results
6. Maintenance Plan
The role will be based at WSRC in Kingswood however travel to other MHNSW sites across Greater Sydney may be required from time to time. It is expected that the successful candidate will attend the WSRC Kingswood site the majority of the time.
