 
        
        Economics / Business Studies Teacher 
St Andrew's Cathedral School is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and experienced Economics / Business Studies teacher to join the Humanities team of committed and professional staff. This is a full time, permanent position, commencing Term 1, 2026. 
What is the Role? 
The School is looking for a teacher who can inspire senior secondary age students. The successful applicant will have recent experience in teaching HSC Economics / Business Studies and/or IB Business Management across Years 11 and 12. 
Key Responsibilities: 
- Teach HSC Economics / Business Studies and/or IB Business Management across Years 11 and 12 
- Ability to teach Stage 5 elective Commerce 
- Willingness to teach Stages 4 and 5 History and Geography 
- Enthusiasm for their subject and the ability to inspire senior secondary age students 
- Knowledge of recent developments in the theory and practice of secondary pedagogy 
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the rest of the HSIE team 
- Confidence in the use of technology and a willingness to embrace it to enhance learning in the classroom 
- An understanding of and commitment to the School’s Christian mission, values and ethos 
Experience in teaching International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) would be an advantage. Applications close: 19 October 2025. Interviews will commence as applications are received.
