Who You Are
We're seeking a Mobile Developer with strong React Native experience to design, build, and deliver high‐quality mobile applications for a major retail client. This role will focus on creating seamless, customer‐centric mobile experiences across shopping, payments, account management, loyalty, and engagement journeys.
You'll work closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and platform teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high‐performing mobile applications across both iOS and Android platforms.

Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to define, design, and deliver new mobile features and enhancements
* Build scalable and maintainable mobile applications using React Native and modern mobile engineering practices
* Develop polished, responsive, and intuitive user experiences across iOS and Android platforms
* Integrate APIs and backend services to support customer journeys such as payments, loyalty, account management, and notifications
* Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards across performance, quality, accessibility, and security
* Optimise application performance, responsiveness, and reliability across a broad range of devices
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex mobile application and platform‐related issues
* Contribute to technical direction, architecture discussions, and engineering best practices
* Mentor developers and support continuous improvement across the engineering team
* Stay current with emerging mobile technologies, frameworks, and platform capabilities
Requirements
* Strong commercial experience with React Native development
* Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for mobile application development
* Experience building and maintaining production‐grade mobile applications
* Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and building responsive, customer‐focused experiences
* Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third‐party services
* Familiarity with native mobile development concepts for Android and/or iOS
* Experience with state management libraries and modern React patterns
* Understanding of mobile application architecture, scalability, and performance optimisation
* Experience with automated testing, debugging, and CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications
* Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive mobile design principles
* Experience working in Agile delivery environments with cross‐functional teams
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to mentor developers and contribute to engineering culture and best practices
