About the Role
Reporting to the Assistant Director – Operations, the Operations Manager operates as a senior specialist, holding responsibility for decision‐making within Key Assets Australia's strategic and policy framework. You will lead multiple programs, support continuous improvement, and ensure contractual, compliance, and quality outcomes are met while fostering a strong values‐aligned culture across teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide senior executive leadership for children and family services across the South West region
* Act as a senior specialist advisor, delivering high‐level, multi‐functional advice to internal and external stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, including performance reporting, self‐assessments, audits, and evaluations
* Identify and progress business development and growth opportunities, aligned with Key Assets Australia's strategic plan
* Support, coach, mentor and advise local managers, strengthening leadership capability and operational excellence
* Embed evidence‐based practice, including use of the Therapeutic Framework and continuous improvement models
* Build strong, respectful partnerships with key stakeholders, including Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations
* Ensure data integrity, outcomes reporting, and quality assurance in collaboration with Quality and Practice teams
* Lead and support workforce planning, recruitment, induction, performance management, and professional development
* Ensure that all services are delivered in a manner that is child‐safe, culturally responsive, and trauma‐informed
Qualifications
* A degree qualification in Social Work or another relevant human services discipline
* A minimum of 7 years' experience as a manager and practitioner in Out of Home Care and/or community services
* Demonstrated experience at a senior executive level within a target‐ and outcomes‐driven environment
* Strong knowledge of child protection, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
* Proven ability to build and sustain respectful partnerships across government, community, and Aboriginal‐led organisations
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and effectively with children, families, staff, and stakeholders
* A deep commitment to child safety, cultural safety, and centring lived experience in service delivery
Benefits and Compensation
* Salary range: $129,210.64 – $134,288.96 per annum (1.0FTE) + NFP salary packaging options
