Discovering a sustainable future for our planet requires innovative approaches and collaborations. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our biodiversity offset programs, ensuring that our operations have no net loss of biodiversity.
As the Biodiversity Offset Principal, you will be responsible for developing and implementing conservation strategies that protect threatened terrestrial fauna and their habitats. Your work will involve:
* Directing conservation programs targeting priority pressures such as fire, feral cats, and weeds
* Aligning conservation strategies with regulatory commitments and internal standards
* Oversighting program scoping, resource allocation, budgets, and evaluation frameworks
* Building partnerships with Traditional Owners, land managers, and research partners
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in:
* Ecological knowledge and field-based conservation expertise
* Understanding of EPBC biodiversity offset requirements and No Net Loss plans
* Clear project scoping and management
* Effective communication and stakeholder engagement
* Spatial data management using Mapinfo / ArcGIS
This role is a Permanent position on a 4:3 Monday to Thursday roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns to Groote Eylandt. Residential option available.
