Job Title: Infrastructure Support Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key part in maintaining, evolving, and securing our hybrid infrastructure environment.
You will be responsible for providing end-to-end support across infrastructure environments, including escalated Level 2 and Level 3 incidents. You will also administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services, manage on-premises and virtualised server environments, and design, implement, and support network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in an IT infrastructure role, with strong experience in Microsoft 365 administration and deployment. You will also have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and virtualisation technologies.
A solid understanding of network fundamentals, including architecture, physical and logical design, segmentation, and security principles is essential. General knowledge of cybersecurity practices, such as endpoint protection, firewall rules, least privilege, and audit logging is also required.
You will be able to manage multiple priorities and work across varying technical levels. Strong documentation and communication skills are also necessary.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide end-to-end support across infrastructure environments, including escalated Level 2 and Level 3 incidents.
* Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Defender).
* Manage on-premises and virtualised server environments (Hyper-V and/or VMware).
* Support and implement cloud-based solutions (primarily Azure; AWS knowledge beneficial).
* Design, implement and support network infrastructure (routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs).
Required Skills & Experience
* 3 – 5+ years in an IT infrastructure role, ideally across SMB or enterprise environments.
* Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration and deployment.
* Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V or VMware).
* Proficiency in Azure services (IaaS, Azure AD, identity and access management, backups, networking).
* Solid understanding of network fundamentals—including architecture, physical and logical design, segmentation, and security principles.
* General knowledge of cybersecurity practices (endpoint protection, firewall rules, least privilege, audit logging).
