About the Role
While the Data Quality Engineer is a part of the Technology team, you will work closely with the Portfolio Management team to identify and resolve inconsistencies and refine data validation processes. You'll also collaborate to automate anomaly detection, address data issues, and ensure compliance with data governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
You will be working closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders, as you:
* Monitor, analyse, and validate large datasets to identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and errors.
* Investigate root causes of data discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
* Develop and refine data validation processes to enhance data quality.
* Collaborate with teams to resolve data integrity issues.
* Support the automation of anomaly detection and error correction processes.
* Ensure compliance with data governance standards and best practices.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
* Industry experience in finance, desirable but not mandatory.
* Experience with programming languages such as Python
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases.
