Weekend Cook with weekday Food Services Assistant shifts - minimum 35 hours per fortnight
ABOUT THE POSITION
Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service in a friendly and professional manner?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Glengara Retirement Village on a part time basis.
We are seeking a Cook / Food Services Assistant to work predominantly on weekends, preparing meals for our 70+ residents and leading the kitchen team during those shifts. Additional weekday shifts are available in a Food Services Assistant capacity, supporting meal service and kitchen operations.
Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Weekend cooking duties, including preparing meals for a large number of residents and leading the kitchen team
- Providing exceptional customer service by taking, preparing, and serving meal and drink orders
- Assisting in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with HACCP and food safety standards
- Completing daily shift cleaning tasks, including clearing tables, cleaning and storing dishes and cutlery
- Being flexible and willing to perform any duties as requested by the Village Manager
We’re on the lookout for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in cooking for large groups (70+ residents)
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
- First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
