Position Overview
The State Penalties Enforcement Registry (SPER), a division of Queensland Revenue Office (QRO), is seeking applications for a challenging and fulfilling AO7 Principal Debt Resolution Officer.
You will be a primary contact in SPER investigations and will play a key role in informing senior management about complex and escalated debt collection and enforcement matters.

Typical Day / Responsibilities
* Managing complex debt collection and enforcement investigations.
* Undertaking detailed analysis of financial and legal information, providing expert advice on appropriate recovery strategies, and preparing high quality documentation for court proceedings.
* Reviewing and responding to legal correspondence whilst ensuring all actions comply with relevant legislation, policy and procedural requirements.
* Conducting and leading complex debt recovery actions, working closely with stakeholders, legal advisors and debt collection and enforcement officers to achieve optimal collections outcomes and comply with relevant legislation.
Qualifications & Experience
* Extensive experience in interpreting and applying legislation in a taxes, revenue or penalty debt environment.
* Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and advisors.
* Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to solve problems and determine viable solutions.
