The Opportunity
DTMI is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Developer and Administrator to join our Business Information Systems directorate on a temporary basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to data‐driven decision‐making across the Transport Portfolio, working in a collaborative and values‐based public sector environment.
The Business Information Systems (BIS) directorate manages information technology functions, information management services and ICT governance, enabling our clients to achieve their objectives through reliable and secure systems.
About the role
In this role, you will design, develop and manage business intelligence and analytics solutions that support operational and strategic decision‐making. You will be responsible for administering and configuring BI platforms and data warehouse environments, while delivering high‐quality reports, dashboards and data models that meet business needs.
You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate data into meaningful insights, ensuring data accuracy, usability and compliance with governance requirements.

There is currently one fixed term position available for immediate filling for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension(s) or permanency. The successful applicant or applicants assessed as suitable through this process may receive further offers of employment (fixed term or permanent) in this or similar roles for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of first appointment.
About you
You are a motivated and detail‐oriented business intelligence professional with experience delivering BI and analytics solutions in a complex environment.
* Experience delivering BI and analytics solutions in a complex environment
* Strong skills in Power BI, Tableau and BI platform support
* Knowledge of ETL, data modelling and data integration
* Understanding of data governance and data quality
* Analytical, detail‐focused and solution‐oriented
* Able to explain technical concepts in plain language
* Collaborative, adaptable and keen to learn new BI tools
