RESERVE POLICE CONSTABLE
The Bermuda Reserve Police (BRP) is seeking volunteers to serve as Reserve Police Constables. This role is community-driven, offers the opportunity to contribute to public safety, and provides training and experience in frontline law enforcement.
Responsibilities
As a Reserve Police Constable you will:
* Serve as active frontline personnel alongside Bermuda Police Service officers.
* Participate in non‑operational duties such as public engagement and community outreach.
* Engage in full‑time on‑the‑job training, exams, and practical exercises during the Reserve Foundation Course (RFC).
* Work flexible hours, including two nights per week (6‑9 pm) and two full weekends.
Evaluations (required to proceed to RFC)
* Police Service Initial Recruitment Test (PIRT)
* Job‑Related Fitness Test (JRFT) – Level 5.4 (15m beep test)
* Security Checks
* Suitability Testing
* Psychological Evaluations
* Medical Examinations
* Interview Board
Reserve Foundation Course
The RFC lasts approximately sixteen weeks and includes:
* Two training nights per week (6‑9 pm) and two full weekend sessions.
* On‑the‑job training, exams, and practical exercises.
* The academic component runs concurrently with active duties.

Requirements
* Must hold a Bermuda School Diploma (BSD) or equivalent.
* Age between eighteen (18) and sixty (60) years at the start of the RFC.
* Good physical and mental health.
* Eligible applicants include Bermudians, spouses of Bermudians, holders of Permanent Resident Certificate, non‑Bermudian resident work permit holders, or their spouses legally residing in Bermuda.
