Position Overview

The Rooms Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless coordination of room assignments, special requests, and guest preferences. This role requires exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills to enhance the guest experience from pre-arrival to check-out.

Key Responsibilities:

* Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests in person or over the phone
* Take, manage, and receive payments for guest bookings
* Make the check-in and check-out process feel swift and efficient
* Stay one step ahead of our guests' needs to anticipate requests and offer tailored recommendations
* Be our guests' trusted contact - help with everything from bill issues to restaurant recommendations
* Process amendments to reservations such as extensions, early departures, etc.

Requirements:

* Hold a valid visa with the right to work in Australia
* At least 1 year of previous experience in a Front Office, Guest Services, or a related role
* Qualifications in Hotel Management and/or Hospitality-related field (preferred)
* Experience using Opera Property Management System is highly regarded
* IT Literacy and tech-savviness
* Strong communication skills and confidence in speaking to guests from all over the world
* Fluency in the English language; extra language skills would be great, but not essential
* Problem-solving skills that will turn potential issues into opportunities
* Impeccable grooming standards
* Ability to work in a team and in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines, as well as assist in supporting the team with other duties, as required
