Mechanical Maintenance TechnicianPermanent, Full Time OpportunityPermanent Day Shifts availablePitman Shift Model - 84 hours / 7 x 12 hour days worked per fortnightAuburn, NSW locationThe BusinessWe are excited to announce we are now partnered with a global leader in automation and robotics employing over 7,500 people worldwide and have an exciting opportunity to join their growing team of technicians and make a difference.The RoleThe Resident (Mechanical) Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing planned, unplanned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance, as well as inspections of automation equipment.
This role ensures the seamless operation of the site and enhances customer satisfaction.Duties and Responsibilities:Plan and execute mechanical planned preventative maintenance of automation equipment.Perform daily system audits.Conduct mechanical breakdown maintenance.Inspect and replace hard-wired gear motors and power supplies.Undertake mechanical repairs and component replacements.Generate reports for both internal and external stakeholders within agreed timelines.Compile monthly management reports for internal and external distribution.Engage in continuous improvement activities to optimize systems, collaborating closely with team members and other departments.Complete breakdown reports, shift logs, and issue logs in accordance with internal protocols.Ensure the site workshop is well-maintained, presentable, and clean.Adhere to Australian, as well as internal and external OH& S regulations.Comply with company policies and procedures.Participate in local, interstate, and overseas training and development opportunities.Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.Skills, Experience, Qualifications:Previous experience maintaining on site equipment either within engineering, automation or manufacturing would be highly desirable. Experience with component removal and refit. Experience with belts, conveyors, motors and gearboxes would be highly beneficialMechanical Trade QualificationHold valid driver's licenseDesirable: Familiarity with programmable logic controls (PLCs), experience with automated equipment. Pre employment medical, D& A and police check to be completed for employmentWhat's in it for you?
