Location : John Hunter Children's Hospital
The John Hunter Children's Hospital (JHCH) Outpatient Department is a busy service that sees approximately 27,000 children a year across 40 specialists. To improve access for rural communities and Aboriginal populations, clinics are conducted via outreach with the help of a coordinator.
About The Role
The Executive Assistant supports the Administration Department, working closely with the Acute Service Manager to manage daily workflow and prioritization. Responsibilities include providing high-level secretarial support, managing Health Roster and Dairy Management systems, and assisting with staff recruitment and onboarding. The role requires attention to detail and workload prioritization skills.
* Monday to Friday schedule, promoting work / life balance
* Handle confidential and sensitive hospital communications discreetly
* Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items
* Manage executive calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel
About You
* Relevant administrative qualifications and / or equivalent experience
* Ability to problem-solve and initiate action
* Strong organizational skills with attention to visual detail and tone
* Compassionate, child- and family-focused mindset aligned with hospital values
