About the role
Permanent or fixed-term temporary opportunity to provide contemporary evidence-based women and baby focused care, in collaboration with the interprofessional health care team to facilitate optimal health outcomes. The role involves undertaking delegated activities while assuming individual accountability within the position and practice context.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be able to carry out the following key responsibilities in accordance with Metro North Health's values:
Apply clinical midwifery expertise, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to deliver high-standard woman and baby-centred care.
Develop individualised care plans in partnership with women for antenatal, postnatal, and intrapartum care, extending to women's health, sexual or reproductive health, preparation for parenthood, and childcare.
Maintain woman and baby safety, risk minimisation, and safe work activities within the practice setting.
Respond appropriately to sudden changes in the health status of women and babies using comprehensive assessment and intervention skills.
Provide teaching to women and their families to facilitate learning and support their move towards independence.
