Senior Payroll Officer Wayville, Adelaide
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the accurate and timely payment of Benson employees, whilst maintaining compliance with employment agreements, relevant tax laws and associated regulations. The position also encompasses a variety of administrative, query management, and data management activities.

Your Key Responsibilities Include
- Payroll Processing: Administer the end-to-end payroll process and services for Benson employees.
- Data Management: Enter and update all employee payroll information, including new hires, terminations, leave entitlements, and other changes.
- Compliance: Ensure payroll is compliant with our Enterprise Agreement, policies and legislation.
- Quality Assurance: Validate and govern payroll system calculations.
- Reporting: Prepare and distribute payslips and payment summaries for employees and payroll reports for management and the finance team.
- Query resolution: Professionally manage the Benson Payroll Inbox and act as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related queries.
- Record keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep up to date with legislative and award changes and implement as required.
About You
As a highly experienced payroll officer, you have a strong understanding of end-to-end payroll process and services and high proficiency with related accounting and payroll software. With a proven ability to identify payroll and timesheet errors and discrepancies, and areas for improvement, you are well equipped to support our quest to continually improve and evolve our systems and procedures. Your ability to interpret enterprise agreements and stay across legislation development will ensure that Benson continue to deliver an exceptional payroll service to our employees.
Your high degree of professionalism and discretion to manage and protect sensitive payroll information, together with excellent written and verbal communication to answer employee and manager queries, align well to our core Values of Integrity and Teamwork. With your ability to gather and compile payroll information into meaningful reports, formats, you work well with broader P&C; and Finance teams to support payroll reports for management, accounting and auditing purposes.
