Key Responsibilities
* Apply professional knowledge by understanding how students learn and tailoring your teaching to meet diverse learning needs.
* Demonstrate strong content knowledge and use effective, evidence-based strategies to teach Hospitality and Food Technology classes in engaging and accessible ways.
* Plan and implement effective teaching and learning programs that align with curriculum standards and foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments where all students feel valued, respected, and motivated to succeed.
* Assess, provide feedback, and report on student learning to guide progress and support individual growth.
* Engage in ongoing professional learning to enhance your practice and stay current with educational developments.
* Collaborate professionally with colleagues, parents/carers, and the wider school community to support student achievement and wellbeing.
* Actively participate in professional and community networks and forums to broaden your knowledge and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
* Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent qualification.
* Current teaching registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
* Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
* A commitment to continuous improvement and student success.
* Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
* Relevant expertise in teaching Years 7-12 Hospitality and Food Technology subjects.
