The Company:
Our client is a leading supplier of cargo handling solutions and services to ports, terminals, distribution centres and heavy industry.
They specialise in terminal automation and energy-efficient container handling. They work with customers with material handling needs in any place and any industry.
The Position:
We are looking for a skilled Structural/Mechanical Engineer with expertise in maintaining large cranes. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our cargo handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
5. Perform structural assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with Australian standards.
6. Develop detailed reports to contribute to maintenance schedules.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement engineering solutions.
8. Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing products and processes.
9. Provide technical support to clients on site and remotely.
Qualifications and Skills:
10. Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering
11. High Risk / Working at Heights Tickets
12. Proven experience working on large cranes, preferably in the cargo handling industry
13. In-depth knowledge of the Australian standards
14. Proficiency in engineering software and design tools
About you:
15. Australian citizenship or Permanent Resident status
16. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
17. Willingness to travel to client sites, including planned interstate travel to major cities
18. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
