At Randstad, we are partnering with a premier manufacturing leader in South Australia's northern suburbs to find a dedicated Industrial Electrical Engineer to join their team.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact role where you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimising electrical control systems within a sophisticated manufacturing environment. We are looking for an expert who is equally skilled at developing PLC systems as they are at performing technical electrical troubleshooting on the floor. Whether you come from a strong academic background with a degree in Electrical Engineering or you are a Senior Sparkie with an A-Class License and extensive experience in industrial control panels, we want to hear from you.
The Details
* Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, with flexible work times available.
* A 6-12 month contract with a strong potential for a permanent offer.
* Conveniently based in Adelaide's Northern Suburbs .
What You'll Be Doing
* PLC & Control Logic: You will develop, program, and commission PLC systems like Allen-Bradley and Siemens, while modifying existing logic to reduce downtime.
* SCADA & HMI Design: You'll design and maintain SCADA and HMI systems such as WinCC or FactoryTalk to monitor real-time plant processes.
* CAD & Documentation: A key part of this role involves using AutoCAD Electrical to maintain electrical schematics, panel layouts, and vital technical documentation.
* Technical Support: You will provide expertise for production equipment, troubleshooting and repairing motors, VSDs, sensors, and control panels.
* Compliance: You will ensure all work hits Australian standards like AS/NZS 3000 and AS 4024.
What You Bring
* Qualifications: A Degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics or a relevant Trade background with an A-Class License.
* Technical Chops: Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley ControlLogix or Siemens S7/TIA Portal and the ability to interpret P&IDs.
* Experience: 5+ years working with industrial communication protocols like Ethernet/IP, Modbus, or Profibus.
* Attributes: High attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and great communication skills.
