Volunteer Youth Advocate
We are seeking passionate young individuals to join our Youth Reference Group, providing a platform for them to share their experiences and ideas on mental health and wellbeing in the community.
About the Role
The Youth Reference Group plays a vital role in shaping local services and promoting youth mental health. Members have the opportunity to:
* Plan and organize events to raise awareness and promote youth mental health
* Provide feedback on local services and contribute to service development
* Presentation and activity opportunities with schools, TAFE, and community organizations
* Access training and development opportunities
* Media promotions and interviews
* Share experiences and encourage early help-seeking behaviors
By participating in the Youth Reference Group, you will develop new skills, meet like-minded individuals, and make a positive impact on your community.
Requirements
To be eligible for this position, you must be aged between 16 and 25, live in the Shoalhaven area, and have a strong interest in promoting youth mental health and wellbeing. A Working with Children Check is required for this role.
