Casual Nursing Technical Support - Mackay

About the Opportunity
Based at our purpose‐built clinical teaching facilities in Mackay, you will support the practical delivery of high‐quality nursing education through the following responsibilities:
- Supporting technical service delivery and equipment for undergraduate practical classes, intensives and skills sessions
- Preparing and maintaining stock levels, ensuring consumables and teaching resources are readily available to meet timetable requirements
- Maintaining equipment and simulation facilities, ensuring all activities are delivered in accordance with established procedures and safety and hygiene legislation.
- Contributing to a safe, organised and effective practical learning environment
Qualifications
- Technical experience with clinical and simulation laboratories, relevant to health professional education and training.
- Demonstrated understanding of WHS legislation and its practical application within a laboratory.
- Informed analytical and problem‐solving skills to judge shifting priorities and conflicting deadlines, taking corrective action.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team in a high‐volume environment.
- Effective computer and data entry skills using the Microsoft Office suite and ability to adapt to the use of new software packages with high attention to detail.
- Ability to meet manual handling demands and work flexibly.
