The company was formed as a result of three aged care facilities merging in the early 2020s. The merger resulted in the creation of a new entity with 124 residential aged care beds and retirement living services in Balaklava and Gilbert Valley.

Our commitment is to provide local high-quality aged care services, offering modern comfortable facilities and the growth of services critical to the welfare of older people, their families, and the social and economic fabric of the region.

At our sites, we require a Wellness & Lifestyle Coordinator for two locations: Balaklava Millcourt Homes and Gilbert Valley Senior Citizens Homes. The position is permanent part-time, working either 36 hours per fortnight (three days a week) or 64 hours per fortnight (four days a week).

The role involves developing and delivering high-quality lifestyle programs that promote social, emotional, and physical engagement. This includes working closely with residents, families, and other team members to tailor programs to individual needs, preferences, and abilities.

We are seeking someone who can:

1. Plan, coordinate, and deliver engaging group and individual activities that promote social interaction, physical activity, cognitive stimulation, and creative expression.
2. Promote resident inclusion, wellbeing, and social connection through tailored programs reflecting the interests, cultural backgrounds, and abilities of residents.
3. Support residents to participate in community events, excursions, and wellness activities.
4. Collaborate with clinical and allied health staff to ensure holistic support.
5. Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs, interests, and preferences.


Qualifications and Skills

* A Certificate IV in Lifestyle & Leisure (or currently working towards obtaining)
* Experience working in the Aged Care industry with good knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* An enthusiastic and motivated attitude, showing a willingness to be flexible to changing priorities
* Great time management and organizational skills
* A current driver's license
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
