This client is a privately owned and operated Australian company with the decision makers and owners residing mainly on the east coast of Australia. Their offices are in Brisbane, Melbourne and, most recently, Perth. They are technically focused and have a large team of Principals who are accessible.
An opportunity exists for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join the Brisbane team of around 30 technical staff particularly if you are an RMS slope risk assessor
To be put forward to the client for the position of Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Brisbane, you will be required to demonstrate that you have had previous local work experience (8+ years) with pile design, foundation design, ground improvement, retaining structures and slope stability assessment.
You will have experience preparing/reviewing proposals for field investigations, design advice or construction support. You should be comfortable writing technical memos, and factual and interpretative reports with minimum review changes and be relaxed working with more junior staff to help them develop. You will also need to be able to demonstrate your project management experience.
From an analysis and design perspective, you should have had exposure to software packages such as or like Plaxis 2d & 3d, Slide 2d, Settle 3d, CPet-IT, and Wallap and be able to explain your project involvement and your level of software proficiency.
