Your role in our team
This is an ideal opportunity for recent graduates or early‑career professionals passionate about complex systems, defense innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration.
As a new Systems Engineer you will join a dynamic team supported by experienced engineers and domain experts across Europe, contributing to a highly collaborative project. You will gain exposure to the Naval domain, including our Combat Management Systems (C‑Flex) and our Self‑Protection Systems (C‑Guard), applying and expanding your knowledge with real, field‑proven technologies.
You will be part of a strategic European defense initiative, working in a supportive environment with mentors who help you grow professionally and technically. In this role you will gain exposure to cutting‑edge systems engineering and modern software development practices, and have opportunities for travel and collaboration within a larger European industrial‑academic ecosystem. Ultimately, your work will strengthen European security and resilience.
How you will make a meaningful contribution
Your key responsibilities include:
* Combat System Definition: support system‑of‑systems analysis, requirements modelling, and architecture definition
* Survivability & Coordination: contribute to defining cross‑domain survivability needs (susceptibility, vulnerability, recoverability) and help coordinate systems integration
* Software & CMS Services: assist with defining service‑oriented architectures using modern design methodologies
* Countermeasures & Sensors: analyse potential countermeasure deployment strategies, sensor integration and threat modeling
* Systems Modeling & Documentation: help create visual and textual models of system behaviour using tools such as Codebeamer
* Collaboration: participate in design reviews, team planning sessions and workshops with internal and external stakeholders
Bring your world class expertise into play
You are fluent in English both in writing and verbally at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. We look for candidates with the following qualifications:
* A Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace/Naval Architecture, Physics, Applied Mathematics or a relevant field
* Interest in defence systems, naval platforms or combat systems
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
* Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
* Good technical writing and documentation skills
* Willingness to work across disciplines and adapt to evolving project needs
Preferred but not required:
* Exposure to systems modelling or architectural frameworks
* Experience in Model‑Based Systems Engineering
* Programming/scripting experience (Java, Python, MATLAB)
* Knowledge of survivability concepts or electronic warfare basics
* Interest in AI/ML applications in defence or automation
* Experience using simulation or design tools (Enterprise Architect, Simulink)
* Project management skills or experience
