Total Indicative Remuneration Package: $268,708 - $383,234 MD02 (Subject to Private Practice arrangements)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week. Contract until June 2027.
Overview
The incumbent will work on the Rehabilitation Wards (stroke, orthopaedic/amputee, VITA) and provide regular outreach services to country SA rehabilitation units, including roster participation enabling 7‐day admissions, consultant review within 12‐24 hours, attending family meetings, informal family meetings, tele‐health clinics, benchmarking, rearranged clinics for country hospital visits, and active support of research activities.
In addition to activities involving AROC each year, the incumbent will lead a quality improvement initiative to enhance overall patient care standards.
Qualifications
* Experience supervising and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff
* Ability to organise work priorities, planning, development, and implementation of tasks to meet deadlines
* Demonstrated high standard of clinical practice in Rehabilitation Medicine
* Ability to work independently and exercise high professional judgement and medical competence in a multidisciplinary setting
* Participation in approved continuing medical education since attaining specialist qualification
