Public Sector Audit Team
Our audit team specialises in the public sector. We work with central and local government bodies, including councils, police and fire services, and NHS Trusts and Integrated Commissioning Boards.
About The Role
During the three-year training contract you will:
Year 1
Master audit documentation using current software and methodologies.
Develop a deep understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows.
Work side by side with clients, gaining insight into their operations.
Build relationships with stakeholders and internal team members.
Years 2 and 3
You will take on more complex audit work, such as revenue recognition, valuation, and risk assessments. You will take ownership of engagements, lead delivery, and mentor junior team members. Following the training contract you will become a permanent employee, embarking on a long-term career at Forvis Mazars.
