About the role
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/all-round trade to join our growing team at Redrock maintenance located throughout the Kimberley region, Western Australia. This role would suit self-employed individual with own vehicle and tools and be responsible for providing high-quality carpentry, property maintenance and cabinet-making services to our residential and commercial clients in town and remote communities in East and West Kimberley.
What you'll be doing
* Undertaking a variety of carpentry tasks, including lock changes, hanging doors, finishing, patching and installing cabinets and other woodwork
* Reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and technical specifications to ensure accurate project execution
* Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on existing structures and furniture
* Collaborating with clients, project managers, and other tradespeople to ensure successful project completion
* Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
* Providing mentorship and on-the-job training to junior members of the team
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the trades and services industry
* Driving license
* Strong technical skills and knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to troubleshoot and find creative solutions
* Commitment to safety and a strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues
* Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification desirable but not needed for right candidate
