Join Our Caring Team and Make a Difference in the Lives of Children
We are a warm and welcoming private psychology practice based in Cairns, FNQ, dedicated to supporting young autistic children through Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy. Our mission is to help children build important life and play skills, and we are looking for a passionate and energetic team member to help bring these programs to life
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking someone who loves working with children and has a natural ability to engage and connect with them. If you are patient, kind, and excited about supporting children with learning and communication challenges, this is the role for you
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement programs designed by our Board Certified Behaviour Analyst/Psychologist to support and enhance children's skills.
* Interact with children in a fun, positive, and encouraging way to help them learn.
* Collect data and track progress (don't worry if you're new to this – we'll support you to learn the ropes).
* Be open to feedback and continuously improve your approach.
* Maintain professionalism and be organised, punctual, and reliable.
Who You Are:
* You have a warm, engaging approach to working with young children.
* You are comfortable with autistic children and excited to be a part of their learning journey.
* You're willing to learn about psychological principles and how to collect and record data.
* You understand the challenges parents face and are sensitive to their needs.
* You have a strong work ethic and great organisational skills.
* A background in psychology or other allied health is a plus but not required - what matters most is your enthusiasm for early childhood development and your ability to build great rapport with children
Why You Should Apply:
* Flexible hours that can fit around your studies or other commitments.
* A wonderful opportunity for students in psychology, social work, or teaching to gain hands-on experience.
* You'll be part of a supportive team, making a real difference in the lives of children and families.
* Competitive pay rates, including travel time and mileage.
Other Requirements:
* Current Working with Children check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening, and police check (or willingness to obtain).
* A valid driver's license and reliable car are required as the role involves travel to schools, daycares, and homes.
