About the role
Our Commonwealth Government client is seeking to engage a Business Analysts at the APS6 level to support the delivery of an important project. The successful candidate will help develop a framework which supports the exchange of information between the subject matter experts and stakeholders, overall growing interoperability in Australian digital health systems.
An initial 3-month labour hire contract is on offer, with a 6-month extension available.
These roles are based in Canberra, Sydney, and Brisbane on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week), with remote working arrangements considered.
Please note: o nly Australian citizens with the ability to obtain/maintain a Baseline security clearance can be considered for this role.
Duties:
* Analyse and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
* Gather requirements using a range of methods such as document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, business analysis, task, workflow and user journeys.
* Make decisions that are based on professional judgement, evaluating risks and in the context of a complex and changing environment.
* Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
* Work with independence, subject to limited direction against established priorities, practices, and methodologies to deliver quality outcomes.
* Perform research and analysis to make decisions that involve complex or escalated issues, longer-term planning.
* Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the shared understanding to elicit, identify, interpret and document business requirements.
Requisite skills/experience:
* Demonstrated experience in business analysis, including creating project artefacts and monitoring business requirements through the project lifecycle.
* Ability to conduct investigations, and engage effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and report on progress.
* Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work in a team environment and independently
