Hybrid working with 3 days on site in Newcastle
Day rate contract for 11 months
We're seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a major in-flight data and digital transformation initiative. This role will help drive delivery by supporting requirements gathering, technical translation, and coordination across multiple teams working within a complex data environment.
You'll collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to maintain delivery momentum and support the transition of core systems and processes into a modernised operating environment.
About the Role
Work as a Business Analyst with the capability to act in a Product Owner capacity
Translate business needs into clear user stories, documentation, and functional specifications
Support data-focused project work, system enhancements, and transition activities
Ensure requirements stay aligned with scope, timelines, and delivery expectations
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience in data, analytics, digital, or platform-related projects
Strong BA capability, including translating business needs into actionable work for development teams
Understanding of data concepts (e.g., ingestion, pipelines, data quality, modelling)
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, vendors, and diverse stakeholders
Tools: Jira & Confluence (essential)
Exposure to legacy and cloud-based analytics or data platforms is beneficial
Primary Responsibilities
Gather and document business and technical requirements
Translate business needs into specifications for development and data teams
Create and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and project documentation
Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies
Support communication, change, and transition activities
Contribute to smooth coordination throughout the project lifecycle
Location: Newcastle – 3 days onsite, 2 days WFH
Start: ASAP
Engagement: Day rate contract
