Western Tavern is a small, well-loved venue in Mt Gambier, with plenty of untapped potential. We're looking for a driven and focused Head Chef to take the reins, lead our kitchen, and help us elevate our offering.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a smaller team environment, can work independently, and is ready to bring energy, creativity, and organisation to a kitchen with big opportunities.
What you'll do:
* Lead a small but passionate kitchen team, driving high standards and consistency
* Take ownership of the menu, food quality, and presentation
* Manage stock, costs, and ordering efficiently
* Work closely with management to support the venue's short-term focus on growth and customer experience
* Bring ideas and energy to improve operations and drive revenue opportunities
What we're looking for:
* Experienced Head Chef, with previous kitchen leadership experience
* Strong organisational skills, self-motivated, and able to work independently
* Ability to work collaboratively within a small team
* A problem-solver who thrives on challenges and opportunities
