Reporting to the HR Manager
If you're an experienced HR professional, or someone looking to grow your HR career, we're looking for someone with a strong focus on training, development, data management, and Learning Management Systems. This is a hands-on role where you'll drive improvements in how we manage workforce capability and learning across the organisation.
In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping how we deliver training and professional development. You'll focus on optimising systems, managing data, and enhancing structured development pathways that empower staff to grow and succeed. Alongside supporting day-to-day HR operations, you will collaborate closely with the HR Manager and lead initiatives to strengthen our training and development framework.

Is this you?
The primary focus of this role is to strengthen our training and development programmes by conducting skills gap analyses, reviewing market trends, and enhancing our established professional development and learning framework.
You will lead initiatives such as implementing the Continued Professional Development system within the supervision framework, optimising the Learning Management System, revamping training automations, reviewing current training plans, and creating structured development pathways aligned with NDIS practice standards. This role also requires oversight of compliance and probity requirements, along with a good understanding of risk management within the context of human resource practices. You will also manage key administrative tasks, including coordinating trainers, booking training rooms, and scheduling staff onto rosters for training.
Additional assistance to the HR team will include leading end-to-end recruitment processes from advertising and shortlisting through to onboarding and induction, along with supporting staff exits and separations. You'll also assist with general HR administration, updating HR policies and procedures, maintaining accurate employee records, and providing backup across HR functions during busy periods or team absences. Confidence in handling performance management conversations and documentation is essential, with full support from the HR Manager along the way.
Previous experience in HR/Recruitment or have transferrable skills in regard to HR practices.
Demonstrated understanding of the Award and Fair Work/N.E.S. and Industrial Relations
Outstanding communication and strong interpersonal skills, with both internal and external stakeholders
Processing of sensitive employee information.
Knowledge of various H.R. functions such as the award, recruitment, on boarding, evaluation, training and development.
High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Working with Children (Blue Card) and Disability Services (Yellow Card) and a Right to Work within Australia
Undertake pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
Current Queensland Drivers Licence
