We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer (all levels) to join our Subiaco-based team. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor, collaborating within a multi-discipline project team and applying your engineering expertise across a range of studies and projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver fit-for-purpose mechanical designs with strong consideration of cost, constructability, operability, maintainability, and safety.
* Development of mechanical designs for the mining industry from conceptual designs though to detailed engineering and project delivery.
* Work collaboratively within a project team to deliver mechanical design packages in accordance with agreed budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.
* Provide technical input, coordination, and engineering support across multi-discipline project teams, with opportunities to lead smaller project scopes and develop leadership capability.
* Produce mechanical engineering calculations and supporting documentation.
* Review mechanical drawings, vendor documentation, and technical submissions.
* Prepare and review equipment datasheets, technical scopes of work, tender documentation, and tender evaluations to support procurement activities.
* Participate in internal and client design reviews.
* Ensure all mechanical designs comply with statutory regulations, relevant International Standards, company requirements, and engineering best practice.
* Provide remote engineering support during site construction and collaborate with commissioning teams to support successful project delivery.
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in spoken and written English.
* Minimum 4 years’ technical and practical experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of mineral processing plants.
* Current knowledge of relevant engineering standards, codes, and industry best practices.
* Strong practical understanding of mechanical design principles, including sizing and selection of conveyors, pumps, and other equipment typical in mineral processing facilities.
* Demonstrated ability to contribute across the full project lifecycle, from conceptual design through to detailed engineering documentation and drawings.
* Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively across both internal and client-facing teams.
* Proficiency in engineering software and tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Navisworks (3D).
* Full and unrestricted Australian working rights and current residence in Perth, WA are required
