Technical Sales Estimator
The Role
We're seeking a commercially astute Technical Sales Estimator to bridge the gap between Sales, Engineering, and Production.
You will review customer RFQs and technical drawings, develop practical solution concepts, and prepare accurate cost estimates for made-to-order and engineer-to-order products. Your focus will be ensuring solutions are technically sound, commercially viable, and ready for seamless handover to manufacturing.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical capability, commercial judgement, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
* Review and interpret RFQs, drawings, specifications, and project requirements
* Develop practical, compliant, and manufacturable solution concepts in collaboration with Engineering
* Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including materials, labour, components, and supplier pricing
* Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing and technical information where required
* Partner with Sales to ensure proposals align with scope, margins, and customer expectations
* Identify technical, commercial, or scheduling risks early in the process
* Support smooth handover to Production through clear documentation and communication
* Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools, cost models, and processes
About You
* Tertiary qualification in Engineering or related field
* 3+ years' experience in technical estimating or manufacturing
* Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings
* Understanding of fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing costs
* Commercially aware, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused
* Strong communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment
