Overview
Mechanical fitters and Boilermakers required for Metro crushing circuit maintenance. Roles are primarily nightshift and may lead to rostered dayshift positions. There is scope to discuss a dayshift nightshift roster at interview. Some weekend work is available; up and coming shutdown work is fly in fly out (FIFO).
Responsibilities
- Chute repairs, screen works/change outs, conveyor maintenance, crusher liner changes, head and tail pulley change outs.
- Heavy equipment repairs and associated fitting and boiler making duties.
- Assist other trades during screen changes and conveyor roller change outs.
Shift and Work Arrangements
Usual week is approximately 50-60 hours. Roles are nightshift-based with potential for dayshift rosters as discussed at interview. FIFO jobs are predominantly construction-based but can involve maintenance activities. The current roster is 5 nights on, 2 nights off, subject to client demands. Some weekend work and shutdowns may occur.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Trade qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker.
- Ability to work on heavy equipment and perform boiler making duties as required.
- Willingness to work night shifts, overtime, and potential FIFO arrangements.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small team and support other trades as needed.
