Family Contact Worker Role

About the Position:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Family Contact Worker to supervise and facilitate safe family contact visits. The successful applicant will be based in Broken Hill, with travel to carer homes and community locations as required.

Key Responsibilities:
* Transport and accompany families during contact visits
* Document clear and detailed reports after each visit
* Collaborate with Case Managers to develop and implement effective care plans
* Identify and report any child protection concerns
* Exercise discretion when determining whether contact visits are in the best interests of the child

Requirements:
* Diploma in Community Services or related field (desired but not essential)
* Valid Driver's Licence, Working With Children Check, First Aid Certification, and NDIS clearance
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Able to manage conflict and work effectively with diverse families
* Understanding of child safety and car restraint laws
* Availability for a range of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional overnights
