Parent Line at CatholicCare Sydney is a confidential telephone counselling and support service for parents and carers, offering expert advice and guidance on parenting challenges.

As an industry expert with strong community relationships and partnerships, this role ensures CatholicCare practitioners deliver high-quality, evidence-informed, person-centred services that meet individual, community, and funding stakeholder needs.


What You'll Be Doing…

Some of your responsibilities will include:

* Providing direction, support, feedback, and clinical supervision to a team of practitioners to facilitate the delivery of efficient and effective client-focused services, consistent with best practice standards and relevant statutory and funding requirements.
* Translating and communicating strategic and operational objectives, policies, and directives to the team to facilitate their engagement and delivery of these objectives.
* Carrying out duties in accordance with all relevant legal Acts, Legislation, Regulations, and Standards in Child Protection and Domestic and Family Violence.
* Fostering and maintaining positive working relationships with key stakeholders to achieve client, community, and funding outcomes.
* Facilitating team and cross-divisional meetings that foster a high-performing service culture, identifying service delivery issues, exchanging information, establishing operational priorities, communicating policy and legislative changes, and monitoring milestones.

What you will need…

To be a successful candidate, you will have:

* Relevant program-specific qualifications, expertise, and professional memberships (e.g., FDRP, APHRA, AASW, ACA, or PACFA).
* Industry-relevant experience in coordinating and implementing services, supporting individuals and teams to deliver client outcomes.
* Understanding of current best practices around supporting parents or experience working with families.
* Demonstrated ability to successfully lead a high-performing team and maintain a positive workplace culture.
* Ability to build and leverage relationships across multi-functional or multi-disciplinary teams to achieve objectives.
* High-level communication, consultation, and negotiation skills.
* Strong organisational skills, including critical thinking and a systemic approach to prioritisation.
