Our client is a federal run agency, who are sourcing an experienced Project officer leader to work in the Performance Management and Quality Branch.
- Richmong or Geelong location
- 12-month casual assignment, with the possibility of an extension, pending business requirements.
- $60+ per hour + Superannuation
The Performance Management and Quality Branch influences a high quality end to end participant experience through delivery of Continuous Improvement, a Quality Management Framework and Performance Management activities.
The branch is responsible for identifying key trends and insights and sharing these with Participant Experience Delivery to drive improvements in performance and quality, utilising a Continuous Improvement framework.
**About the role**
The position is a team leadership position and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities. It will provide the leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the Team Membership within the positions assigned Work Area.
- Developing and managing project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency's project management framework.
- Providing specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders.
- Performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities.
- Coordinating regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
- Identifying and assisting with the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
- Contributing to project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.
**About you**
- Previous experience in project management is essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Project planning and coordination skills
- Adaptivity to work across a number of projects at one time.
- Interpersonal / collaboration capability - networking and negotiating with external stakeholders at different levels.
- Strong leadership skills, minimum 2 years recent experience
- Proven experience in writing business cases, budgets and identifying risks.
- Competent in providing specialist advice and technical expertise.
