Role Overview:
The Finance Business Partnering Manager plays a key leadership role in delivering high-quality financial management services. This involves supporting the Faculty Finance Manager in providing strategic financial reporting, analysis, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Financial Management: Develop and implement strategies to improve financial capability, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance monitoring.
* Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of finance professionals to deliver exceptional service and continuous improvement.
* Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the preparation and review of financial reports and performance analysis for senior management and stakeholders.
* Business Partnering: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders across the School, providing strategic advice on financial matters.
* Project Leadership: Lead key financial projects, including policy and procedure reviews, and manage changes in response to legislative or University updates.
* Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to financial, tax, and legal requirements, while identifying and mitigating risks that affect the School's financial performance.
Key Selection Criteria:
* Qualifications: Postgraduate qualifications in business or accounting with CA/CPA accreditation, or equivalent experience.
* Experience: Proven track record in financial management, including budgeting, reporting, analysis, and auditing in a large, complex organisation. Higher education sector experience is advantageous.
* Skills:
o Excellent financial management and business partnering skills, with the ability to influence and provide strategic advice at senior levels.
o Strong leadership and team management experience, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.
o Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency.
o Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
