Boiler and Powerhouse Operator Vacancies 2025
Join Mackay Sugar, Queensland's largest renewable energy provider, for the 2025 Crushing Season. Our mills incorporate power stations that supply electricity and thermal steam to the milling process, as well as to the regional and national grid.
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will operate and monitor steam turbines, boilers, and electrical generators at our mills. We offer career development opportunities, aiming for successful candidates to progress in our Boiler and Powerhouse Operations.
Vacant Positions
* Assistant Boiler Operators (Permanent Roles): Turbine Operator and Boiler; Advanced High Risk Work License required.
* Milling Plant Attendants (Fixed-term roles with potential to transition to Permanent): Turbine Operator (HRWL required).
* Boiler & Powerhouse Trainee Roles (Fixed-term with potential for permanency): No qualification required; industrial experience preferred.

* Mechanically inclined and dedicated to safety and efficiency.
* Willing to work shift work, weekends, and overtime during the crushing season.
* Possess a manual car license.
* Positive, team-oriented, and eager to develop their career in boiler and powerhouse operations.
