A global mining organisation is seeking a Technical Writer for an immediate start

Our client is among the world's top producers of major commodities including iron ore, metallurgical coal, copper and uranium. They extract and process minerals, oil and gas from its production operations located primarily in Australia and the Americas.
Your new role
We are seeking experienced Technical Writers to support the Engineering team across multiple mining assets. In this role, you will work closely with subject-matter experts to review, refine, and update a wide range of technical standards and operational documentation. Your work will ensure our engineering content is clear, compliant, and aligned with organisational and industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review, re-write, and update company technical standards, procedures, and engineering documentation.
* Collaborate with engineering subject-matter experts (SMEs) to extract technical information and translate it into clear, accurate, user-friendly documentation.
* Ensure all documentation meets internal governance requirements, industry best practice, and relevant compliance standards.
* Maintain consistency of tone, terminology, and structure across all engineering documents.
* Support the continuous improvement of document control and standards management processes.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you will bring:
* A tertiary qualification in Engineering
* Demonstrated experience as a Technical Writer within complex projects, mining, heavy industry, or other industrial environments
* Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex technical content and present it in clear, user-friendly documentation
* Strong proficiency in SAP and advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Proven ability to work collaboratively with engineering SMEs and manage documentation updates across multiple stakeholders and assets.
