About the role
Rhumbas @ Crown Pty Ltd is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our dynamic kitchen team. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our patrons. This is a full-time position based in our Southbank, VIC 3006 location.
What you'll be doing
Develop and implement innovative menu concepts that showcase your culinary expertise
Manage and train a team of kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
Maintain strict inventory control and cost-effective purchasing practices
Liaise with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Ensure compliance with all food safety and health regulations
Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the restaurant
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Cook or in a similar senior culinary role
Formal culinary training or qualifications in the Hospitality & Tourism industry
Proven track record of leading and mentoring a kitchen team
Exceptional culinary skills, with a strong knowledge of food trends and techniques
Excellent time management and organisational abilities
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
