Benefits Coordinator

Fixed Term Full-time opportunity – 24 months, based in Speers Point, Singleton or Woonona office with hybrid working available.

About the role

Seeking a motivated and detail‐orientated Benefits Coordinator to join the Weekly Benefits team. Key responsibilities include managing tasks related to timely and accurate payment of workers' benefits, collaborating with the Benefits Officer to streamline processes, resolve discrepancies, and maintain a high standard of service for customers.

Your main responsibilities

* Review new claims registered for potential payments.
* Ensure claims system is kept up‐to‐date with accurate information.
* Maintain weekly incapacity report, ensuring workers due for weekly benefits are accounted for.
* Ensure timely processing and payment of weekly benefits to eligible workers.
* Coordinate preparation and distribution of correspondence.

About you

* Minimum 1 year experience in workers compensation industry.
* Payroll experience (desirable).
* Basic knowledge of NSW workers compensation legislation applicable to coal miners (advantageous).
* Ability to manage and deliver multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Strong communication, organisational and collaborative skills.
