What you'll be doing
As a Perioperative Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care within a multidisciplinary clinical team to achieve optimal health outcomes for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
· Deliver safe, efficient and patient-centred perioperative nursing care
· Assess patient needs, respond to clinical changes and escalate care when required
· Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care from admission through to discharge
· Supervise and mentor Enrolled Nurses and students on clinical placement
· Advocate for patients and families while ensuring ethical practice and effective resource use

Essential Criteria:
· Registration: Current Nursing Registration (RN) with the Nursing and Midwifery
Selection Criteria:
1. Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
2. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that re-inforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment
3. Demonstrated recent clinical experience relevant to the position and commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice ( A minimum of 12 months instrument/circulating experience in operating suite).
4. Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care
5. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership to junior members of the team
7. Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues
