We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Coordinator to join the team on a 6-month contract and play a central role in ensuring a strong, positive safety culture across key projects and operations.
Please note this position is offered on a 2:1 roster, a vehicle plus accommodation in the Kimberley is part of the offering.
11.5 hrs per day 30m lunch break (80.5 hrs p/w) (161 hrs p/f) – 1 week off
between the hours of 5:00am-17:00pm
2:1 (14 days on 7 days off, 11.5 hours per day hours per working week)
About the Role
As the Safety Coordinator, you will contribute to the planning, implementation, and monitoring of safety systems and practices across a variety of projects. You'll work closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and internal safety frameworks.
This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about safety leadership, continuous improvement, and supporting teams to achieve exceptional safety outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the development, implementation, and review of SHW and WHS policies, procedures, and risk management processes
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations to identify hazards and improvement opportunities
* Assist in incident investigations and the preparation of reports with corrective/preventative actions
* Provide coaching and guidance to project teams to strengthen safety awareness and competency
* Monitor contractor compliance with safety standards and relevant legislation
* Contribute to safety performance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
About You

Essential criteria:
* Certificate IV in Work health and safety
* Icam Lead Investigator
* Current First Aid Certificate / CPR
* HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
* Traffic Controller / Basic Worksite Traffic Management Certificate
* White card
* Class C drivers licence
Desirable:
Mental Health First aid
