Overview
Our client is a well-established and market leading national civil contractor. They are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior / Estimator to join their growing business. The services span building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental, and related sectors. You will contribute to the successful delivery of challenging projects, including demolition, bulk earthworks, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation, etc. Typical project values range from $2.5m to $40m+. Projects are from $5m up to $40m+ with opportunities across civil, mining, bulk earthworks or a mix; background flexibility is welcomed, with ideal candidates having experience on projects circa $10m+.

Responsibilities
* Working on tenders
* Coordinating internal and external resources
* Preparation and submission of tenders
* Evaluate / review tender and estimating process for cost effectiveness
* Tender negotiations
* Coordinate tender handover to the project team
* Prepare budgets based on tender submission
* Assess and price contract variation orders
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants
Qualifications and Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
* 5 – 10+ years' management experience on civil construction projects with a project value of $5m to $20m+
* Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
* Effective problem solving abilities
* High level of commercial acumen
* High level of organisation and time management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
